the birds are back.
the purple martins migrate through austin each summer. they stay for a few weeks in a few trees in a run down mall parking lot. today was my second trip to watch them since they have been in town. it's incredible and one of my very favorite things ever. today was amazingly, the first time i got pooped on. if you're in or around austin, hit up the north side of highland mall at around 8:20pm and you can't miss it. hurry before they're gone!
