never (sayitwithscissors)/ blueberry/ dietrich (testing some blending methods on my phone)/ st. davids hospital: my mother fell on saturday while running with her marathon training group (second marathon), she slammed her face on the sidewalk and somehow sliced her thumb (nearly off!). i picked her up from where she fell and we got her checked out at the hospital. she is doing well but the thumb was so awful that they referred her to a hand surgeon to make sure everything is healing properly. although the tendon was sticking out, she could move it and had feeling in it still, so that is all a good sign. if anyone wants to see a super-gross photo of it, leave your email in the comments and i will send it along. but don't say i didn't warn you.
