on the 28th, it will be three months since i adopted miss eleanor bird. she is almost a perfect angel, except for of course, when i leave for work. i wont get into the details but lets just say, i've had to replace quite a few things and spend many late nights on my hands and knees scrubbing the floor. i have tried just about everything out there and the only thing that seems to be working to build her confidence is doing these little sit-and-stay tricks. she is very proud of herself and loves getting a little stella & chewy salmon treat (her favorite) when she does a good job for me. of course i cannot take credit for coming up with putting eleanor "on things". i am in love with the adventures of theron humphrey on thiswildidea.com. he has the most adorable little redtick coonhound named maddie and she is awesome at standing on things. and while eleanor has a ways to go before she is as poised and professional as maddie, she still makes me laugh just sitting there on this or that.
i started just taking instagram pics but now i am trying to make an effort to capture her little tricks with my real camera.

these tricks seem to be helping her as well because 3 out of 4 days last week i came home to zero damage. not a single thing. progress!
